Abstract EN

The study aimed to investigate the political situations in the region of the Red Sea Basin, the importance of the region during the period of the international conflict in World War1 (WW1), and the role of political powers in the Arabian Peninsula during the war, in addition to examining the implications on these powers after the end of WW1.

From this study, it becomes clear the strategic importance of the position of the Red Sea in the world events and the ensuing effects of WW1 on the political powers in the Arabia as a result of this war.

In the study, I adopted the descriptive and the historical-analytical methods.

Several results emerged from this study, perhaps one of the key ones is that the powers, which were committed to neutrality during the war, were the most fortunate ones and the most worthy of survival, while the allied powers with the major colonial states became weakened and disappeared.
