Abstract EN

Herpes gestations is a rare autoimmune disease of pregnancy or postpartum period characterized by pruritic and polymorphic bullous lesions (1>.

It is of unknown etiology and unrelated to any known viral infection.

Its incidence has been estimated to be 1 / 10,000 to 1 / 50,000 deliveries(2ti >.

Definite diagnosis depends on histopathologic and immunofluorescence studies.

Here we describe a case of transient neonatal bullous lesions affecting a male newborn secondary to maternal herpes gestations, suggesting a transplacental transfer of autoantibodies from the mother to the baby.
