Abstract EN

This study aim to known features structure of age and sex for population in Samawa district according in 1997 and comare with al-Muthana governorate to known variance in the age and sex feature in the rural and urban population in the district and governorate.

the study lie in two divides : the first include a study of features structure of age, while second include a study features structure of sex.

The import of conclusions in this study its ratio decrease of children in district which is reach 45.54% compare with governorate 46.67% of a total of population.

increase ratio of age median in district decrease in the governorate, while increase ratio of children in rural which is reach 4.73% and decrease in urban3.92%.
