Abstract EN

This study aims to identify and analyze the linguistic features that are used in political newspaper headlines.

The corpus of the study consisted of thirty-nine headlines from Washington Post.

However، the study uses four models in order to analysis these features like (Westley، Abbott، Pehar، Garst and Bernstein's model).

The study concludes that، linguistic features are used in deliberately and creatively way for many purposes like attract reader's attention، humor، aesthetic language use، save space، to be vivid news and so on.
