This article aims to evaluate the effect of decentralization on corruption in Cameroon.
From the logit method on panel, the econometric estimations are made on a sample of 233 municipalities out of the 360 in Cameroon.
The results obtained indicate that decentralization has a negative effect on corruption in Cameroon.
An increase in the level of decentralization by 1% could reduce the probability of corruption in these municipalities by 4.42%.

Cet article se propose d'évaluer l'effet de la décentralisation sur la corruption au Cameroun.
A partir de la méthode logit sur panel, les estimations économétriques sont faites sur un échantillon de 233 communes sur les 360 que compte le Cameroun.
Les résultats obtenus indiquent que la décentralisation a un effet négatif sur la corruption au Cameroun.
Une augmentation du niveau de décentralisation de 1% pourrait réduire la probabilité qu'il y ait corruption dans ces communes de 4, 42%.
