Abstract EN
This study aimed to demonstrate the efficacy of honey and ethanolic extract of local propolis and compare it with the antibiotic activity of a group of Cram negative and positive bacteria that included Stapl, Saprophyticus, Strep.
Agalactiae (Klebsiella, Pneumonia, Salmonella.
Paratyphi, the models of honey and propolis were collected from Dhuluiya from 16/10/2017 to 13/11/2017.
The results of this study showed that both honey and propolis had a significant effect in inhibiting the growth of the studied bacterial species and that the inhibition rate increased with increasing concentration where the drop rate was 9% with the highest inhibition rate (100%) while the concentration of 100% had no significant effect on bacterial species.
Propolis recorded a damping diameter (19) at 90% concentration for Staph bacteria.
Saprophyticus results showed that spreading through acar showed that the positive species were the most sensitive of the financial species, while Klebsiella did not show any effect in the concentrations used.
Most species showed high resistance against it.
