Abstract EN

This study aims to shed light on the reality of renewable energies in both Jordan and Algeria.

It discusses the ability of both countries to invest in these alternative energies soon and the extent of which they could engage in these alternative energies to achieve the dimensions of sustainable development.

Given the nature of this topics the study relied on both descriptive and analytical approaches.

The descriptive approach is used when dealing with the theoretical aspects of the topic and the analytical method is adopted when analyzing the reality of renewable energies in Jordan and Algeria.

We have divided this research into two main axes.

The first deals with the reality of renewable energies in Jordan* and the second with that of Algeria.

Renewable energies are abundant in nature; their exploitation requires the use of modern devices and large areas.

They play an important role in human life and may contribute to satisfying a big part of human needs.

Relying on them contributes to large savings in the future because they are inexhaustible and non-polluting.

This study concludes that the use of renewable energies in both Algeria and Jordan would lead to creating new job opportunities* strengthening the national economy* improving the surrounding environment* modernizing the infrastructure, and providing safety for society* as well as leading to the supply of energy in remote areas.

These improvements should lead to achieving the dimensions of sustainable development.
