The family is the main cell in the formation of society, and with family reform serves a society therefore, Islamic law has focused on the importance of the family entity and has enacted a set of rules in order to maintain family ties and ensure that they are not violated.

the various laws also enshrine the civil and criminal protection of the family.

also, Allah almighty has legalized marriage and made it a solid pact between the spouses that entails a set of rights and duties that may be common or pertaining to each husband separately, and the most important duty that the husband has is the material care of his wife, whether it is to provide housing, clothing, food, treatment, etc.

but in some cases the husband may fail to fulfill this duty, whether he is facilitating or insolvent, and this is what leads the wife, in the event of other conditions, to file a lawsuit against the husband, the subject of which is the crime of refraining from providing alimony to the wife that is decided to her by judgment.
