Abstract EN

The article aimed to show the role of Emir Abdul Qader Al-Jazaery in resisting the French occupation, by focusing on the cultural aspect, especially the education that he gave of great importance.

The prince realized that the success of his resistance to French colonialism depends on the extent of the spread of national awareness among the various groups of Algerian society, and the formation of elite aware of the dangers of colonial policy, especially in the cultural field.

The study reached the following results: 1.

The Algerians did not hesitate to oppose the colonial plans of France, especially with regard to the cultural aspect.
