The term "class" is an old critical term of confusion and ambiguity, although many scholars and linguists have written books in classes.

however, they did not give the term a clear and precise concept, which can be built upon in our study of poets.

this remained the case until the arrival of Ibn Salam al-Jomahi, who had benefited from the studies of past classes and had also written a book in that area, which he called "the layers of poets", "which makes us wonder what the concept of" class "is, by which poets are divided into ten classes in ignorance, and ten in Islam, placing four poets in each class, adopting time elements and other artistic qualities.
