Abstract EN

Noam Chomsky’s transformational generative theory, converges with the Arabic grammar in many linguistic aspects, and this convergence is due to a kind of influence and conversion, so a group of Arab researchers tried to link the grammatical heritage and the transformational generative theory and noted that they agree in many principles ways, and they found many principles of the generative approach in the works of Arab grammarians, including: emphasis on sentences, talking about the superficial structure and the deep structure (order and arrangement), linguistic ability (possession of the rules of speech), fundamentalist and non-fundamentalist speech (straight and lying) , factor and others.

based on the foregoing, we seek, through this paper, to clarify the points of convergence of Chomsky’s theory with the Arabic grammatical heritage.
