this study deals with the importance and role of the french archive in historical writing, specifically the contemporary history of morocco, because it contains important information inmany areas of interest to the researcher when carrying out his study of historical facts, especially since most of the archive items can be issued by official or unofficial bodies, which makes it very important to verify the source of historical information; the french archive is also a shared memory between memory between morocco and France, and it makes the two countries participate in many occasions and historical events.
