Abstract EN

This study aims to highlight the role of e-government in promoting comprehensive development.

It focused on studying some countries, especially the Arab ones, and concluded that: - The purpose of the e-government is to build the digital state, through which public services and information can be provided to citizens electronically; - The e-government has the ability to improve external and internal relations between the various bodies concerned with government services, including citizens, government employees and institutions, and to facilitate knowledge exchange between these authorities; The e-government encourages communication and rapprochement between the government and citizens in a way that makes the citizen an active element in decision-making and a major contributor to policy-making.
