Abstract EN

The main purpose of this study is to emphasize the importance of organizational leadership in improving the performance of work groups in an economic institution by determining the relationship between leadership and work groups.

in order to achieve the desired goals, it was decided to use a descriptive approach to describe the research variables, and an analytical method to analyze the research community which included 50 female and male employees from the technical teams in charge of repairing breakdowns and installing telephone networks.

in addition, the sample was determined by the comprehensive inventory of the research community.

it should be pointed out that the questionnaire was utilized to measure the research variables.

this study came to the conclusions that, first, the organizational leadership has a primary role in improving the performance of technical work groups in ''Algérie Télécom'' of the city of Adrar, second, the leadership skills have a significant impact on activating the effectiveness of work groups, and third the operative work teams have specific features that distinguish them from other teams.
