in the Mi'raj stories and the treatises of birds, in which, the Sufis symbolized the soul and its flight towards emancipation and liberation from the prison of body.

This idea is the basis of the flights of birds treatises and stories, which were creatively written by Sufis As Al-Bustami did in his Mi'raj, Al- Hallaj in his "Tawasin", and IbnSina and Al-Ghazali in their stories of a flock of birds in the journey towards their king.

The symbol of birds is also the focus of Al-Suhrawardi's narrative writings and his symbolic treatises.

Attar's master piece, "The Conference of the Birds", is also considered as the best example of mixing the bird symbolism with the Sufi Mi'raj
