But, the reality of freedom of trade union practice in Algeria has been questioned about its reality, both legally and practically.

This is confirmed by the frequent visits of a high-level committee of the International Labor Office due to complaints submitted by various trade union organizations.

They claim that the administration represented by the Algerian government stifles, obstructs or prevents the exercise of the right to freedom of association within its proper international legal framework.
