Migrant workers in many parts of the world are still subject to gross .mong the criticisms leveled at them is the fact that they crowd out local workers in employment opportunities, hence the tendency to see them as a source of problems rather than as an added value.

It is well known that the international community tends to pay attention to the problems of migrants.

This has resulted in a number of international charters and agreements.

We have addressed this subject in two chapters, the first being devoted to identifying the nature of the migrant worker; the second to the protection of his rights approved by international instruments.
