This article discusses the contradictory views of some of the orientalists on the Islamic art.

thus, i chose the orientalist Alexander Baba Dupolo, who dedicated great efforts to the Islamic art, through his huge book the aesthetic of Islamic painting.

in fact, most of his writings about the Islamic art is very distant from his philosophy, as most of his views were confined to the jurisprudential system in its aspect related to the prohibition.
