The current study aims to verify the psychometric properties of the Podsakoff organizational citizenship behavior scale (Philip M.

, 1990) by applying it to a sample of employees of the national insurance and reinsurance company and the Algerian insurance company in the state of Annaba.

in order to achieve this goal, the descriptive analytical method was relied on, by analyzing the primary data of a sample of 101 employees in the two target companies, using confirmatory factor analysis, and based on arithmetic averages, standard deviations, and coefficients of variation.

the result of the analysis indicated that the organizational citizenship behavior measurement model did not achieve an acceptable level of conformity with the sample data ; hence, the organizational citizenship behavior in the two companies is not considered a multi-dimensional construct.

she also indicated that the level of availability of different types of citizenship behaviors in the two companies surveyed was high.
