The research aims to understand the concept of logical thinking and explain its effect in achieving strategic alignment, which is one of the most important strategic features as well as being essential and important in the success and distinction of the organization, and considering it as a source of reassurance for executives and addressing problems during the strategic and organizational management stages and its ability to grant new and appropriate opportunities for its application in distinguished strategic and organizational performance areas.

the concept of logical thinking also meant the interest of researchers in management studies and strategy, in particular.

its ability to devise appropriate solutions to problems in general, and interest in it has recently become an urgent necessity with the rapid developments experienced by business organizations trying to apply logical thinking in order to achieve strategic alignment in their business and its internal and external environment.

the deans of the colleges of the university of Kufa and their assistants as well as the heads of the scientific departments in them were chosen as representing the higher departments responsible for developing strategies, and the questionnaire was adopted as a source for collecting data that consisted of six indicators to measure the study variables by three indicators for each variable, as the dimensions of logical thinking(perception) sensory, information, psychological state) and the dimensions of strategic alignment (communication, participation, empowerment).

therefore, (128) questionnaires were retrieved from them (94) only and were analyzed using a number of statistical methods to analyze data using the statistical package of social sciences(SPSS).

among the most important results that were reached was the presence of a positive impact of logical thinking that could help organizations seeking to keep pace with contemporary administrative trends and achieve strategic alignment by activating the mechanisms of logical thinking with them, and logical thinking is one of the most important factors affecting the success of the organization's work and confirms the need to develop programs especially to develop the logical thinking skill of the higher departments.
