Abstract EN

This study aims to highlight the role of tourism development in enhancing the income of local communities, through the presentation of the revenues of the municipality of Sidi Lakhdar (Mostaganem), and revenues related to tourism activity.

It concluded that tourism development has made tourism activity a source of funding for the municipality, through renting its built-up real estate properties, such as camps and shops on the beaches, as well as non-built properties such as barns for cars park.

Trade offers, in general, contributed tourism directly and indirectly to 13.7% of the income of the municipality and 25% of free funds, but this proportion is enough to cover only part of its annual expenses.
