Abstract EN

This study aims to indentify the most important models of programming education through cloud computing environments included in technology curricula in Palestine.

It also aims to determine role of programming education through cloud computing in the development of academic curricula in general, and technology curricula in particular.

In addition, the research aims to explore the most prominent pros and difficulties of programming education through cloud computing.

The researcher used the qualitative approach, and interviewed (18) technology teachers in Palestine.

The study found three main models for education of programming through cloud computing environments, which are employed in the Palestinian curricula: Minecraft, Scratch and App Inventor.

The research results showed that education of programming through cloud computing environments helped improve technology curricula in Palestine, and develop a number of aspects within students, including problem solving skills, logical thinking and self-education, as well as other basic skills.

The results also showed a number of difficulties suffered by students while learning programming, including limited number of computers and slow internet speed.

The study recommends to train students on mechanism of using programming techniques through cloud computing applications, by organizing training workshops and designing visual educational lessons.

It also recommends to take advantage of programming capabilities through cloud computing to enhance the other educational materials.
