Abstract EN

This article aims to study Imam Tabari's choices in judicial evidence.

Imam Mohammad ben Jarir Altabari is considered a scholar of his age, who gained huge reputation in his society and nation, and among the scholars of his time and his students.

Many scholars and students try to study his books in several and various disciplines.

However, what is important to us in our study here is the statement of the choices of Imam Altabari and his efforts in the field of justice.

We present the choices in evidence as proof of evidence, as well as his position the judge's judgment by his knowledge, comparing his opinions to those of other scholars, and his preferences, which enable him to the only scholar of his kind.

The study concludes with a number of findings, the most important of which are: Imam Tabari was not confined to a particular doctrine in his jurisprudential choices.

What was important to him in these choices is his own scientific convictions in every issue he tackled.

Imam Tabari is well-known for his free thinking, which is always there in his different jurisprudential choices.

All these characteristics of Imam Tabari make us in need of studying and benefiting from him and other great scholars of his kind so as to build good jurisprudential intellectuals who can extrapolate the developments and deal with them according to the principles of our Islamic Sharia.
