The article aims to study the phenomenon of political tyranny from a qur’anic perspective, as the holy Qur'an greatly cares about it, and due to its severe damages and bad influence on the life of the individual, family, society and nation.

the study focuses on how the holy Qur'an handles it in addition to the opinions of previous and contemporary Qur'an interpreters.

it also aims to get to know the political situation in the holy Qur'an and the knowledge of its motives and causes, as well as the means and methods of tyrants who use them to achieve their goals to stay in power or to achieve them illegally or to use them after accessing them for unlawful purposes for personal interests.

the research tackles the negative effect of political tyranny on society and how the holy Qur'an has dealt with it.
