Abstract EN

The research is based on studying the thresholds of the text in the book The Fragrance of Perfume from the Andalusia Wet Branch.

These thresholds constituted a remarkable phenomenon that showed the author's interest in the beginnings of chapters and sections, and how he marked them through separating them from the original texts, through which the author spoke to his interlocutors to pass the purposes that fall under the apparent linguistic structure through semiotic reading.

In its theoretical aspect, the research monitored the most important concepts on which it was based on.

It presented the concept of textual thresholds from the point of view of (Gerard Genet) who addressed it from the angle of essence and function, focusing on the original title being a linguistic sign that creates an interactive relationship with its external surroundings on the one hand, and the recipients on the other hand.

The study reached several results; the most important of them is that the book The Fragrance of Perfume consisted of a group of elements that came in a variety of semiotic squares between movement and stability, stability and instability.
