Abstract EN

This research aims to study the character semiotics in the novel A Thousand Women in My Body by Rehab Saad.

It has been divided into an introduction, a preface and three chapters.

The preface included the definition of semiotics: its concept, origin, subjects, and objectives.

The title of the first section is: Semiotics of the Character: Types and Functions, in which the semiotics of the names and features of these characters is being analyzed.

As for the second section, it was titled: Characters Patterns in the Novel A Thousand Women in My Body.

The research concluded that the significance of the character in terms of traits, sayings and actions showed the characters as complete in all their physical, social and psychological aspects.

The character indicator ranged between the compatibility of the names of the characters with their meanings, the reality of their characters, and the contradiction with the names of some of the characters.

The internal and external descriptions of the characters had an impact on their behavior within the novel.
