Abstract EN

This article aims to briefly present the theoretical and applied framework of methods used to monitor and control the vertical falling of engineering buildings and installations, supported by a practical example for monitoring the network of carrying components of a 15 floor student hostel in Moscow university, calculating the falling values and representing them with a graph which shows the amount of falling in its bases.

the study also shows the possibility of monitoring and control of the falling in global navigation satellite system (GNSS).

it concludes with a number of findings and recommendations, the most important of which are : the necessity of using the ground method to measure leveling to pinpoint the deformation of falling of different buildings and installations to fulfill the conditions and requirements of accurate budget.

it recommends not to take decisions of removing the installation from investment or putting it under inaccurate measurements.

leveling method by using GNSS does not provide accurate leveling of the first, second and third degrees.

it can only be used for the fourth degree leveling.

it also requires the local geoid model through intensification of the main referential points.
