Abstract EN

This article aims to present the most basic information of Arabian Gulf ports in the Islamic era, their positions and importance.

It sheds light on the trading activities in this era of Abbasid State.

The study employs the inductive descriptive approach.

The most important findings reached are: trade in this era received much attention due to the prosperity of trading movement in this particular era.

Most of these ports still work up to date, and some of them still retain their old names.

The importance of these Arabian ports lies in the importance of the area as it connects the three continents of the world, namely Asia, Africa and Europe.

The exports and imports of these ports varied based on the needs of the society including the commercial goods in the Islamic era.
