Abstract EN

The success of the Web is derived from the development of HTML(Hypertext Markup Language), a means of structuring text for visual presentation.

the emergence of xml as a standard for data representation on the web is expected greatly to facilitate the publication of electronic data by providing a simple syntax for data that is both human and machine readable.

as a logical representation mechanism and not just a data format, XML bridges different views of the data Web, namely, that which treats data as collections of documents (that is, sequences of terms with associated tags).
