Abstract EN

VoIP is a very rapid evolving communication technology which supports transportation of voice data via IP based networks.

VoIP is a technology in great demand these days.

its interactive nature makes it very appealing for users and today it is one of the most dominant technologies for communication.

voice over IP (VoIP) applications such as skype, google talk, and Viber are promising technologies for providing low cost voice calls to customers over the existing data networks.

this paper will investigate the performance of VoIP over WiMAX and Wi-Fi based wireless networks as a baseline to evaluate the VoIP performance.

the thesis makes an effort to study the performance evaluation of VoIP for fixed and mobile users and how the QoS parameters( jitter , delay ) vary for different speeds.

QoS such as voice jitter, voice packet ETE delay, packet-sentpacket- received.
