Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify the reality of social media networks use and its impact on social isolation and gratifications achieved for deaf girls in the secondary stage.

the study used the descriptive analytical method, and a stratified random sample consists of (59) deaf female students in secondary school stage that was selected at holy Makkah region, distributed over (3) cities (Makkah-Jeddah-Taif).

to achieve the objectives of the study, a questionnaire was designed as a data collection tool.

it consisted of two main dimensions, the first dimensions dealt with the reality of using social media networks, and the second dimensions dealt with the issue of social isolation, and the questionnaire included (50) paragraphs.

the study reached a set of results, the most important of which are as follows : the degree of gratifications achieved through using social media networks for deaf students was large with an average of (2, 3729) the results also indicated that there is a statistically significant effect of the use of social media networks on their gratifications, which indicates the existence of a strong direct correlation between the gratifications achieved and the use of social media networks.

and the degree of their social isolation was large with an average of (2, 4495).
