Abstract EN

The tremendous technological development witnessed by the means ofcommunication in the past two decades contributed greatly to creating a newenvironment for societies and made the world a small village as it became known, and some even see that the world has become smaller than that.

However, thisdevelopment did not go unnoticed, and not all of its aspects were positive, as it wasfound through observation with participation that these means contributed effectivelyto the isolation of the individual and his distance from his social environment andcommunication with traditional methods.

On the other hand, he found that thepositive side was predominant with Acknowledgment of the existence of negatives, but they do not rise to the level of the male, from that standpoint, so it was necessaryto conduct a study that is interested in explaining the negative and positive effects onthe social, psychological and health aspects on the user of the technological means.

Based on the aims of the study, the researcher has taken one of the mostimportant social networking sites, which is Facebook, a model for research, andthe research community was represented by students of the College of Iraq, thedepartments of Media and Law.

It included the primary data, which is the gender, age and educational level, and the second is the basic variables, which are throughwhich the individual is treated with modern means of communication and has beenput in a metric or class measurement.
