The science of prosody is an important component of the construction of the language of poetry, as it represents an essential feature in its components, which is the rhythm that separates it from the prose.

the science of prosody has its terms that control it and define its forms and what is permissible in it.

and in this research, I focused the light on a scientific activity related to the terms and their limits, which is the lexical work, where I studied a group of dictionaries specialized in the science of prosody and it studied them carefully until I stood on the foundations and principles that I followed and then applied these foundations to AlKhalil lexicon and monitored what the lexicon excelled in.

I also commented on some of the entries that needed more attention than from its author.

and with this it is an important work in this science that is useful in adjust terminology.
