Abstract EN

The current study aimed to investigate the problems that challenge teaching of Arabic to non-native speakers in foreign countries (outside the Arab countries), taking the curriculum as an area of study in accordance with the procedures of the descriptive analytical approach to suit the nature of the study and achieve its objectives.

the study used a questionnaire as a data collection tool.

it included four axes: the curriculum, its objectives, its content, teaching methods and approaches, and the evaluation in forty items.

after verifying its validity and reliability, it was distributed among the sample members, the study was conducted on fifty individuals, and their responses were obtained.

the study resulted in a set of findings that confirmed the existence of problems in understanding the curriculum and its elements, including with regard to the curriculum and its elements, looking as something synonymous with the course and without specifying general or specific objectives and without the help of experts in the field and relying on teaching courses that do not take into account the environment, students and their needs without paying attention to teaching all language skills and contentment with teaching reading and writing only in a real way, not paying attention to teaching approaches and methods, relying on translation, and looking at the assessment as a test presented to the student at the end of the year or upon completion of teaching the course.

the study included a solution to the problems and suggestions for improving the programs of teaching Arabic to non-native speakers.
