this study seeks to identify mechanisms for investing the capabilities and expertise of the elderly to provide discretionary support to orphans, empower the elderly segment in society and invest and enhance their cumulative experiences to provide social support to orphan groups, as well as investing the capabilities of the elderly to provide discretionary support for orphans and creating a virtual family in which the elderly feel their social role and that they are not shunned by society the study was applied to a sample of the elderly who are permanently reluctant to care institutions for the elderly in the city of Fayoum, and their number is 80 individuals, and on a sample of academic and field experts who are interested in the fields of the elderly and orphans in the city of Fayoum, and their number is (30), and the study concluded that there is a high level of investment mechanisms elderly abilities to provide discretionary support to orphan groups, as well as a high level of discretionary support that the elderly can provide to orphan groups.
