Abstract EN

Abu Hadba begins by stressing the importance of culture as a distinguishing mark to its people .

He then presents a few defintions of culture and proceeds to discuss ways and methods of the preservation of cultural heritage .

In this respect , he recognizes three major factors namely : 1- Treatment of cultural heritage .

2-Transmission of cultural heritage from generation to generation .

3- Exertion of academic efforts on individual and institutional levels .

He then concludes by presenting the role of women as seen through those three factors and offers the Society of In’ash al- Usra as an example .
