Abstract EN

This research aimed to measure the effectiveness of using the participatory learning strategy via the web in developing the cognitive achievement and providingthe second year students with the skills of implementing and finishing women's trousers, Department of Clothing and Textile - Faculty of Home Economics - Helwan University, for the course of “Designing Models and Implementing Women's Outerwear” (women's trousers).

The sample of the research consisted of one experimental group comprising (35) male and female students from the second year of the Department of Clothing and Textile.

The said experimental group learned through the participatory learning method via the web.

The research used the quasi-experimental approach and the descriptive approach for their relevance to achieving the objectives of the study and verifying its hypotheses and measuring the skill performance and cognitive achievement related to the skills of implementing and finishing women's trousers.

The research concluded the following resultsThere are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the students in the pre and post application of the achievement test, This confirms the effectiveness of using the participatory learning strategy via the web in learning the skills of implementing and finishing women's trousers.

The research recommended benefitingfrom the results of this research and trying to apply them in other implementation skills of the courses that serve the field of specialization, and benefiting from the participatory learning strategy via the web in promoting positive attitudes towards the students' courses.
