The current era is known for many scientific developments, among them the development taking place in the information and electronic revolution and the widespread spread of the web, which contributed greatly to the development of many areas of life, but in return this revolution produced a new type of crime, namely electronic or information crime It is a crime that touches at its core fundamental values for individuals, institutions and even countries, so many countries have accelerated to find solutions to them through accurate scientific diagnosis of the various factors behind them and to identify the various strategies and mechanisms that lead to their reduction, and from here the researcher proposes an intervention in which he addresses a review of a whole Among the concepts related to the problem represented in the concept of electronic crime among a group of scholars, and its definition in the Algerian legislation, as well as the characteristics of this type of crime and its perpetrators, in addition to the areas of its use, and the last of the most important mechanisms and ways that can be used to address it.
