Abstract EN

The aim of this Study research is to investigate the reality of the competitive advantage amang Universities in Taiz as well the obstacles preventing the occurance of the competive advantage .

The research is trying to find out the requirements of the competitive advantage .The research used the Descriptive Survey Method and questionnaires tool targetting academic and administrative leaders including ( Universities rector , vice rector, dean , vices dean, and heads of departments ) in private universities in Taiz .

Findings :- Insufficiency of basic requirements of infrastructure in the private universities in Taiz .

Insufficiency of regular ( full – time ) academic staf of private universities.

- These universities emplay teaching staff of government universities on per-hour wages.

- This indicates that these private universities do not comply with the items and legislations made by the ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research .No Freedom of amd supporting of teaching staff Lack of performance of social service which is below the standards required.

The research has concluded a number of recommendations ,the most important of Which are : it is very important to focus on instruction and learning , Scientific research and community Service as fields of Competitiveness amongst private Universities .

Creating and Spreading awareness of Competitive advantage in those Universities.
