Abstract EN

Objective: this research aims to clarify that commentaries study is of a great importance in the science of interpretation, through which the researcher explains the methods of commentaries and weighing among explanatory sayings, clarifying their intakes, reasons and types of interpreters diversity, their excellency and empowerment in it.

methodology: in this research, the researcher tries to collect and study the commentaries of imam Makki bin Abi Talib on imam al-Tabari, and to explain aspects of its significance, forms of meanings, methods of weighting among the sayings related to it.

conclusion: the researcher has concluded results, the most prominent of which are: the science of commentaries clarifies to researcher the endeavors that interpreters made in order to interpret the words of Allah almighty, clarification of that intended by him, since only those who have reached the rank of diligence, empowerment, excellence in all religious sciences, can make commentaries.

recommendations: among the most significant recommendations: paying attention to the interpreters’ commentaries on each other, and on others of what they mention in their interpretations, studying them and their contradiction sayings.
