Abstract EN

The study seeks to identify the role of political economy in foreign policy, by addressing the United States aids program to Jordan.

The study is divided into two parts: The first part refers to the theoretical literature related to aids: including the definition, motives and justifications for using aids, and the goals that countries seek to achieve through this tool.

Also the debate about the effectiveness of aid and its ability to achieve the desired goals.

The second part of the study deals with an applied case of U.S.

aid for the Middle East in general, and for the case of the study, Jordan in particular.
