in press conferences, the consecutive interpreter is not only tasked with rendering the interpretation but also dealing with factors that could affect the quality and strategies of consecutive interpretation.

the data for this research is mainly collected from a press conference between president Obama and the emir of Kuwait.

the present study is a descriptive-analytical study, aiming to have an in-depth analysis of consecutive interpretation under the framework proposed by Gile's model (2009).
