Abstract EN

The topic of this research includes a scientific study of the biological impact on archaeological wood in museums and ways to treat them, with the aim of identifying some types of living organisms that contribute to total or partial damage to this sensitive organic material, and giving possible solutions to stop or delay biological injury to ensure the safety and sustainability of these artifacts that constitute a large part of the heritage preserved in museums, and its preservation requires some simple principles that are based on a globally recognized and standardized methodology and restoration.

The preservation methodology is dealt with according to the measurement of risks and scrutiny in the different stages of treatment by choosing the product and the appropriate method.
