Abstract EN

The purpose of thisstudy isto explore Human ResourcesInformation Systems(HRIS)' adoption, uses, challenges and benefits in Saudi Telecommunications Company (STC) operates in Abha.

It aims also to investigate the effects of HRIS applications on employees' performance.

In addition, it aims to explore HRIS main applications, benefits and challenges face the adoption of the system in the targeted company.

A survey methodology was used as a research methodology utilizing a self-administrated questionnaire, which was distributed to (150) employees work in STC in Abha.

Major findings revealed: the level of HRIS application was moderate level; mostly is used in disciplines, employees’ records and leaves however; it was less used in promotion, benefits and training.

There were so many obstacles facing HRIS application and adoption, which hinder HRIS effectiveness.

Importantly, lack of top and middle management level support; lack of experiences of the people who are in charge of HRIS; lack of experts; lack of financial support.

Implications and recommendations in addition to contributions were also provided in the study.
