The importance of the study liesin explaining the reality of the tourism environments in its dimensions (tourism legal legislation, tourism logistical support, tourism culture, tourism marketing) in Jordan and the extent of the tourism sector's ability to attract tourism for an effort to enhance the knowledge of tour operators to carry out their roles efficiently and effectively.The study aimed to measure the impact of the tourism environment on tourist attractions in Jordan.
The study relied on the descriptive and analytical method.
A random sample of 383 visitors was selected from Jordanian (local) tourists in southern region in Jordan.
The sampling unit consisted of all (383) Jordanian tourists(383 individuals), (383) questionnaires were retrieved, and (19) were excluded because they were not valid for statistical analysis.
After analyzing the data through the use of the Statistical Package for Social Sciences(SPss) program, including arithmetic averages and standard deviations,single and multiple regression coefficients, and the Alpha Cronbach coefficient.
For collecting the data and information necessary to achieve the objectives of the study, the questionnaire was used.
The study found that there is a statistically significant impact of the tourism environment in its dimensions (tourism legal legislation, tourism logistical support, tourism culture, tourism marketing) on the tourist attraction dimensions (desire, preference, enjoyment, tourist repetition) in Jordan.
Based on the results, the study recommended a number of recommendations, the most important of which was the adoption of the dimensions of the tourism environment and the constant endeavor to review the experiences of developed countries in the field of tourism to achieve the best benefit in the application of these dimensions.
The necessity of updating and developing the basic plans for tourism marketing policies and strategies to achieve sustainable development in the tourism sector, and diversification of tourist attractions to contribute to increasing the desire and preference of tourists.
