The novel "the Man Who Believed" is from the works of Najib al-Kilani, who studied in his novel the superiority of the Islamic civilization over the Western civilization in the form of the character of a man suffering from severe economic conditions.

While seeking to obtain his material goals, he learns about the religion of Islam because of an accident, and he converts to Islam.

In this article, after comparison, the superiority of Islamic civilization and the Islamic thought over the Western civilization and thought and the negative effects of Western civilization have been studied.

The necessity and importance of this research lies in the fact that it provides readers with the opportunity to know the Western and Islamic thought better by focusing on the issues raised.

The research aims to compare between the Western and Islamic cultures identifying the characteristics of these two cultures.

This research has been authored with an analytical descriptive approach, and the structure of the novel indicates the author's knowledge of the concepts of the Western world, so that he criticized them in his work from different angles.

He preferred the Islamic thought, which seeks human freedom and makes them superior to the Western thought, and it is adopted by the occupying Zionists and the United States of America against the owners of the first thought in their minds.
