Abstract EN

"Al-Maqsurah" is a collection of Arabic poems that are arranged on the poetic meter of Al Rajaz and rhyme ending with the alif almaqsura,( first letter of arabic alphabet).

These poems are characterized by a number of other features such as length, multiplicity of poetic purposes, and their inclusion of strange linguistic vocabulary, wisdom, proverbs, and literary expressions; wich traced the famous maqsura of Ibn Duraid al-Azdi (died: 932 AD), by a group of ancient and modern poets.

Among the later poets who composed a Maqsura Ode is the poet Hashem bin Hardan al-Kaabi al-Durqi (died: 1816 AD), the owner of the famous Al Husayniyyah elegies, who was talented to accomplish, in his ode, which amounted to 360 verse, the most important features of the Dridiyah ode in terms of style and purposes without falling into the imitation, where this ode can be considered one of the distinctive poetic monuments worthy of study and analysis; This is what we aim at through this artsitc and objective study in which we follow to the descriptive approach, and we aim through it to identify this poetic effect and its author.
