English Abstract

This study addressed the topic of merger: which is a contract through which the total number of the company's shares or more than that as a share in kind to participate in a combined company.

Its most important features are related to being focused in a unified entity, in that the incorporated feature of the merging companies is released.

Such a merger has positive effects that impact the economic activity, increase the national production and reduce costs.

However, misusing it could result in negative consequences that affect the public interest, such as monopoly of goods as well as the emergence of managerial, human and social problems, which entails the necessity of interested authorities according to certain controls.
