This article focuses on the descriptive and contrastive analysis of certain fixed expressions, Arabic and French, containing nominal components linked to the paradigm of the body, based on a special corpus formed of lexicalized expressions identified from linguistic sources and lexicographical and popular matrices, far from any communication context.

this study attempts to elucidate some of the semantic and lexical similarities and divergences between these frozen sequences and their semantic equivalents in the two languages.

she also seeks to address the issue of language-culture through these equivalences in these two disparate languages.
