Literary translation is one of the most difficult kinds of translation according to many scholars as it reliesgreatly on creativity and taste.

thus, the translator should be literary possessing a creative mind and abundant feelings in order to transfer the spirit of the literary text by preserving its aesthetic load without any alteration of the original text, and this requires a creative spirit so as having an aesthetic and non-literal translation.

nevertheless, it is often necessary to do some kind of negotiation regarding what could be transferred from a particular literary and cultural context to another.

hence, this paper aims to point out the limits of creativity that the space of translated texts allows and the main challenges which hinder this process leading quite often to deviate from the original text.
